The Crist Family

So I have become a HUGE fan of this group! I saw them perform at Singing in the Sun in Myrtle Beach, SC. The group consists of Tami Crist Starkel, her husband John, her brother Rich Crist Jr., his wife Lisa, 2 of their daughters Breana and Jakie and a family friend Tom Joyce. It seems pretty confusing but once you hear them explain it a couple of times it’s not. They sing southern gospel music but they aren’t from the south. They are actually from the mid-west. They moved to TN to obey God’s calling. Tami founded the group in 1987. They are now rising stars in the southern gospel world & are doing great! they have 6 albums & a DVD out. I put a link to their site on my blogroll. Please go check them out & then let me know what you think of them!

Krista Nicole aka KristaHeartzuz

krista.jpgI discovered this girl on YouTube. I will put a link to her channel at the end of the post. She is 13 & from Oregon. She is an amazing singer for her age! She could use some fine-tuning but she’s really good! She sings & her dad plays guitar for her. She does covers as of right now but she is hoping to have some original stuff up soon. Let me know what you guys think of her! If you like her videos, rate & comment them! Here’s the link to her YouTube account. Check it out!

pureNRG (Pure Energy)

purenrgdebut.jpgI saw this group perform @ WinterJam 2008. They were incredibly energetic!…hence their group’s name. Their names are Carolyne, Jordan, & Caroline…yes the 2 girls have the same names just spelled differently. They are 11, 12, & 15. These kids don’t look that old when you see them in pictures. They do a lot of tumbling & gymnastics stunts while performing which wears them out. Their self-titled debut album has some very upbeat, God fearing lyrics. Also, they chose to remake the 80’s hit song “Footloose”…originally done by Kenny Loggins for the movie “Footloose”. It’s probably my favorite song on their CD. Another great song is called “Pray”. They seem to have strong faith in God & understand what they are singing about & why. I was very impressed when I went on their website to find that these kids are well rounded & appreciate older music. They also seem to read their Bibles a lot too. Their favorite verses were impressive to find out. These young kids appear more ready for Heaven than most adults! I put a link to their site on mine. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them as much as I did! Oh yeah…go buy their CD! It’s great!

Christ Tomlin Songs

christomlin1.jpgHere are my 3 fave songs by Chris Tomlin. Hope y’all enjoy them as much as I do!

Holy is the Lord Verse:We stand and we lift up our hands for the joy of the Lord is our strength. We bow down and worship Him now. How great, how awesome is He. And together we sing, everyone sing… Chorus:Holy is the Lord God Almighty. The earth is filled with His glory. Holy is the Lord God Almighty. The earth is filled with His glory. The earth is filled with His glory. Repeat All 1x Bridge:It’s rising up all around. It’s the anthem of the Lord’s renown. (2x)And together we sing, and everyone sing… Chorus 1x Tag:Holy, holy is the Lord Almighty. Holy, holy. (3x)

Indescribable Verse 1:From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea, creation’s revealing your majesty. From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring, every creature’s unique in the song that it sings. All exclaiming… Chorus 1:Indescribable, uncontainable, you placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name. You are amazing, God. All-powerful, untamable, awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim. You are amazing, God. Verse 2:Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go? Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow? Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light? Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night? None can fathom… Chorus 1 2x Chorus 2:Indescribable, uncontainable, you placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name. You are amazing, God. Incomparable, unchangeable, you see the depths of my heart and you love me the same. You are amazing, God.

How Great Is Our God Verse 1:The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty, let all the earth rejoice, let all the earth rejoice. He wraps himself in light, in darkness tries to hide; it trembles at his voice, trembles at his voice… Chorus 1:How great is our God, sing with me, how great is our God. And all will see how great, how great is our God. Verse 2:And age to age he stands, and time is in his hands, beginning and the end, beginning and the end. The Godhead three in one, Father, Spirit, Son, the lion and the lamb, lion and the lamb. Chorus 1x Chorus 2:Girls: Chorus 1 Guys: Name above all names, worthy of all praise, my heart will sing how great is our God. Chorus 2 1x Chorus 1 3x (last time without music)

Tattoo by Jordin Sparks

jordinsparks1.jpgHere are the lyrics to 1 of my fave songs out now:

Verse 1: No matter what ya say about love I keep comin’ back for more Keep my hand in the fire Sooner or later, I get what I’m askin’ for No matter what ya say about life I learn every time I bleed The truth is a stranger, soul is in danger I gotta let my spirit be free To admit that I’m wrong and then change my mind Sorry, but I have to move on and leave you behind Chorus: I can’t waste time so give it a moment I realize nothing’s broken No need to worry about everything I’ve done Live every second like it was my last one Don’t look back at a new direction I loved you once, needed protection You’re still a part of everything I do You’re on my heart just like a tattoo Just like a tattoo, I’ll always have you Verse 2: I’m sick of playin’ all of these games It’s not about takin’ sides When I looked in the mirror, didn’t deliver It hurt enough to think that I could stop, Admit that I’m wrong and then change my mind Sorry, but I’ve gotta be strong and leave you behind Chorus Bridge: If I live every moment, won’t change any moment There’s still a part of me in you I will never regret you, still the memory of you Marks everything I do, oh Chorus 2x

Hope y’all like the song! Jordin rocks!
