The Academy of Country Music Awards were on May 18th. The big award is Entertainer of the Year. This year it was fan voted which is a big deal. Kenny Chesney won that. Top Female Vocalist went to Carrie Underwood. Top New Female Vocalist went to Taylor Swift. They are my 2 favorite singers in country music! I’m so thrilled they won! They deserve it! I’m also very pleased to hear that Lady Antebellum won Top New Duo or Vocal Group this year! They are amazing! Miranda Lambert’s new CD Crazy Ex-Girlfriend won Album of the Year over Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Rodney Atkins, & Taylor Swift! That’s impressive! Sugarland took away 2 awards both for their song Stay. It won Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year. I’m so happy for them! I have a bias toward Sugarland. I saw them in concert before they got signed to a major label. They opened for Vince Gill in Danville, VA & I was there! They are just awesome & deserve everything they get! The Video of the Year winner was no surprise to me. Brad Paisley’s Online won that category. It’s a great video & it keeps you laughing! I’ll post a link to a list of all the winners in my blogroll.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE KENNY CHESNEY SAID THAT! WHO DOES HE THINK MADE HIM AS POPULAR AS HE IS? AND ALSO THE FANS ARE THE ONES WHO VOTED HIM IN LAST NIGHT!! WHAT WAS HE THINKING? WHEN ALL OF THE FANS HEAR HIS OPINION I DON’T KNOW IF THEY WILL DO THATAGAIN!! MOST OF THE SINGERS REALIZE THE FANS ARE WHAT MAKES THEM!!GEEEEZ!!
